I’m Karin Hall, DNS, ACNP, FNP-C, FMACP, a Nurse Practitioner, educator, advocate, and founder of Power-of-One Health. After more than two decades in healthcare, I’ve worked across acute care, emergency medicine, education, and functional medicine. I’ve seen extraordinary medicine save lives. I’ve also seen what happens when people feel dismissed, unheard, rushed, or left trying to navigate a fragmented healthcare system on their own. That is why I believe, deeply and unapologetically, that health is a human right. I created Power-of-One Health to practice medicine differently. My work blends evidence-based functional medicine, root-cause investigation, education, advocacy, and genuine human connection. I want people to understand what is happening in their bodies, ask better questions, participate fully in their care, and feel empowered to advocate for the health and life they deserve. But my mission extends beyond the individual patient. I believe we have a responsibility to challenge systems that create inequity, elevate the voices of patients and clinicians who have been overlooked, and build a healthcare future that is more curious, more personal, more equitable, and more human. I’ve learned that meaningful change doesn’t always begin with a revolution. Sometimes it begins with one person deciding they will no longer accept the status quo. One voice. One choice. One action. One change. That is the Power of One, and that is the work I am called to do.
